The paper considers the creation in 1992 of the magazine “Russia and the Pacific”, and its emergence as a leading scientific periodical on the problems of the development of Pacific Russia and Asia-Pacific countries. Its role in highlighting the unknown pages of history is reviewed. The importance of the journal in the liberation of historical science from politically determined dogma of the Soviet era is shown. The article continues a series of “Russia and the Pacific” publications devoted to the public opinion study in the Russian Far East. This time the opinion poll conducted in Primorskiy kray and Khabarovsk in July — September of 2012 has became the source base of the study. The authors focus on the respondents views on the value and impact of external factors on the lives of Pacific Russia, the attitude to foreign presence, the perception of external calls. The article analyzes historic experience of exploring the Far East by Russia through the Russian government’s policy in the Pacific. The author is substantiating a conclusion on the key role of the government support of the process of exploring the region in each historic period. Attention is ac-cented on the meaning of the Far East as a region that provides a geostrategic reserve of strength to the government and as powerful resource base for the Russian economy. The article emphasizes the strong need of the government intervention into the current situation in the Far East with a goal of defining Russia’s destiny as a Pacific power. The article considers the history of the development and research of the Far East of Russia, the search of ways of protection of domestic natural resources, the role and importance of regional au-thorities of the Amur of the General-gouvernement in the fight against foreign poaching and smug-gling of species. The author first introduces into scientific circulation of the previously unknown archival materials. The author of the article analyzes goldmining dynamics in Magadan’s Council of National Economy (sovnarhoz) during 1957—1962 years. Sovnarhoz had achieved of increasing in extraction of currency metal due to exploitation new placer deposits of Chukotka and Kolyma. In many respects it was possible to overcome heavy heritage of Dalstroy. However it was not possible well to resolve a number of acute problems for the sovnarhoz. The article considers the peculiarities of colonization processes in the Russian Far East in XVII—XIX centuries. Analyzed are the objective reasons for its weak Ho-economic development, shows the mechanisms of the Russian ethnic cultural growing in the region: the impact of the Russian Or-thodox Church, the presence of aboriginal by the municipality of how real internal autonomy, the preservation of the customary law of indigenous peoples as an integral part of the Russian legal field, tolerant installation in interethnic cal relations inherent Russian man. In the article the queschen impact of the partisan’s movement in the Far East of Russia on the result of all civil war in the Russian is scrutinized. Defeat Kolchack’s troops in 1920 has sharply raised the question armies about destiny of White movement. The rests Kolchack’s armies led by general S.N. Voitsekhovsky, comes for Baikal to ataman Semyonov, have decided to displace the last for its Projapanese orientation and terror. And its generals considered as S.N. Voitsekhovsky’s overall objective the organization the bourgeois-democratic buffer state to reanimate White movement and to continue struggle against Bolsheviks. Plot is not has gone right, but it has reflected all depth of crisis in a camp of opponents of the Soviet power. The article deals with the history of the Nikolsk-Ussuriysk technical high school in the time of the revolution and civil war in the Primorie in 1917—1922. Natalia Markdorf, Cand. Sc. (History), the Department of management of social issues in the Kemerovo state university of culture and the arts.
In this paper the reasons, process, results and significance of Japanese prisoners of war repatriation in 1946—1948 are considered. The author concludes that the repatriation of Japanese prisoners was one of the massive actions in Siberia as a whole was successful and helped to improve the quality of West Siberian labor fund at camps, reducing the cost of restoration of ability to work and manage-ment, contributed to preserve a certain stability of the camps’ economic, thus improving profitability of production camps. After the period of some deterioration the cooperation between Chinese People’s Republic and the DPRK in the economic and trade field since 2000 quickly started to regain its previous scale and activity. By the end of the first decade of the XXI century China has become the main trade partner of North Korea as well as the biggest investor in the economy of the DPRK. This situation caused serious concern among many South Korean experts, politicians and became a hot topic of discussion in the mass-media. They worry that North Korea because of its excessive dependence in economy on China may lose freedom of action in the field of politics and this may hinder future prospects of the unification of the Korean peninsula. The worries of South Korea appear to be partly justified though seriously exaggerated. However due to a number of reasons DPRK has no other choice but keep intensifying its cooperation with China. The passive position of Seoul and absence of serious prospects for appearing any other country which may could serve a counterbalance to Chinese influence allow us to predict that the economic dependence of DPRK on China will continue to grow in the near future. The Eastern Sea has had this name for a long time but the world calls it the South China Sea. It has an important strategic location, rich in natural resources not only for the countries of the South East Asia, first of all Vietnam, but also for all the countries in the region. There was and there is a con-flict for the sovereign rights to Parasel Islands and Spratly Islands, exclusive economic zone and continental shelf between five countries and six parties which are Vietnam, China, Philippines, Ma-laysia, Brunei and Taiwan. Demands of all parties are very different. This conflict is extremely complicated and cannot be easily solved. The conflict interaction of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and the escalation of the territori-al disputes around the Islands of Senkaku archipelago, Spratley, Southern Kuril Islands are consi-dered on the basis of the diplomatic statements and estimates of the mass media, forming a General background of opposite opinions in relation to the most active in the moment of action around the island. Geopolitical cut strategy of the Pacific «land area» — Russia and China are considered in chronological order and covers the period 2010—2012. There are many Parhae’s castles located in North East China and North Korea, unknown for Russian scientists. It was researched some characteristics of Parhae’s castle’s architecture, such as the location, form, size, function, structure of castles, defense’s works. We can divide them on 5 types of Parhae’s castle with different functions, based on previous characteristics. Additionally, it was observed conceivable cultural traditions (mohe, Koguryo, China (Tan)), were influenced on Parhae castle’s architecture (construction). An assessment of engineering-geological and hydro-geological features of the territory in the time of construction and existence of Koksharovka-1 ancient town is made basing on geoarchaeological researches of the site. The natural materials used for construction are investigated, places of their production and transportation ways are revealed. The assessment of anthropogenous changes of magnetic properties of the geological environment is executed. The internal lay-out of the settlement is restored, its changes are traced and it is shown that some significant stages of the existence of Koksharovka-1 ancient town are inseparably linked with the environment changes which we call natural disasters.
